

November at the Bard Math Circle
We have two great events this November:
November 6 and 12: ⭕️ AMC 10 and 12 contests ⭕️
November 16: ⭕️ Family Math Afternoon at the Kingston Library ⭕️
Contests
We are offering the high school level AMC contests this November.
Event: AMC 10A and AMC 12A
Date: Wednesday, November 6, 2024
Event: AMC 10B and AMC 12B
Date: Tuesday, November 12, 2024
All contests will take place on the Bard College campus in the RKC Science Building (GPS address: 31 Campus Road, Bard College, Annandale-on-Hudson, 12504). The welcome table opens at 4:30pm, and the contests will start a little after 5pm. Students will be done well before 7pm.
Register for the AMC 10/12 contests
The AMC 10 is a 25-question, 75-minute multiple-choice competition designed for students in grades 10 and below (maximum age of under 17.5 years on the day of the competition). The content covers mathematics typically taught in grades 9 and 10, including elementary algebra, basic geometry (such as the Pythagorean Theorem), area and volume formulas, elementary number theory, and elementary probability. Advanced topics like trigonometry, advanced algebra, and advanced geometry are excluded.
The AMC 12 is a 25-question, 75-minute multiple-choice competition designed for students in grades 12 and below (maximum age of under 19.5 years on the day of the competition). It covers the full high school mathematics curriculum, including trigonometry, advanced algebra, and advanced geometry. Calculus is excluded.
We will also offer the AMC 8 contests, for students in grades 8 and below.
Date: TBA in the contest window of Jan 22-26, 2025.
