We welcome you to an engaging Family Math Afternoon for middle school students and their families.

Contests
We are offering the AMC 10A and 12A contests on Wednesday, November 6, 2024, and the AMC 10B and 12B contests on Tuesday, November 12, 2024. All contests will take place on the Bard College campus in the RKC Science Building starting at 5pm (with the welcome table opening at 4:30pm).
Register for the AMC 10/12 contests
The AMC 10 is a 25-question, 75-minute multiple-choice competition designed for students in grades 10 and below (maximum age of under 17.5 years on the day of the competition). The content covers mathematics typically taught in grades 9 and 10, including elementary algebra, basic geometry (such as the Pythagorean Theorem), area and volume formulas, elementary number theory, and elementary probability. Advanced topics like trigonometry, advanced algebra, and advanced geometry are excluded.
The AMC 12 is a 25-question, 75-minute multiple-choice competition designed for students in grades 12 and below (maximum age of under 19.5 years on the day of the competition). It covers the full high school mathematics curriculum, including trigonometry, advanced algebra, and advanced geometry. Calculus is excluded.
We will also offer the AMC 8 contests, for students in grades 8 and below.
