Join us on Saturday afternoon (2pm-4pm, December 16) at the Kingston Library for math problems, puzzles and games, and a hands-on math artifact for you to make and take home. This feature craft this month is making mathematical calendars to prepare you for 2024.
There's plenty of parking at the library! Enter on either Crown Street or on Green Street. The Community Room is spacious, and will serve us well for the next 18 months, until the Kingston Library's permanent location on Franklin Street has been renovated.
Family Math Afternoons
Each month we offer a great environment for middle school and elementary school aged children to explore math with their family. We have puzzles and games, outside-the-box math problems, and a math artifact to make and take home.
No registration needed, just come on by!

Sunday Math Problem Solving
Our Math Problem Solving group for middle school students has its last meeting in 2023 this Sunday. Join other middle school math problem solvers each Sunday at the Gardiner Library.
Description: A session for middle schoolers interested in mathematical problem solving, especially for those preparing to take the AMC 8 or MathCounts. Led by New Paltz HS student and Upstate New York Math Team member Mason Eyler, students will develop their mathematical problem solving skills in the context of mathematical topics not frequently encountered in school, like Combinatorics, Number Theory, Algebra, Logic and Geometry.
Audience: All middle school students are welcome.

AMC 8 Contest
Save the date! We will offer the American Mathematics Competitions' AMC 8 contest at two locations:
Location 1: New Paltz on Thursday, Jan 18, 5pm
Location 2: Bard College on Wednesday, Jan 24, 5pm.
This January event is for students in grades 8 and below. Students can only take the 2024 AMC 8 contest one time. The registration form is coming soon.
CAMP 2024
Save the dates! Our 2024 Creative and Analytical Math Program (CAMP) will run the week of Monday, July 29 to Friday, August 2, 2024.
