Dear Math Circler,
This is just a short update on the math contest schedule for the Bard Math Circle. We are organizing registrations and review sessions for a future update.
AMC Contest Update
This summer, the AMC returned to an in-person only format for the AMC contests. No remote proctoring options were offered. This policy didn't mix well with Bard College's campus COVID policy, and so we were not planning to offer the AMC contests this year.
But earlier this week, the AMC reversed their policy, and will now allow remote proctoring. But proctoring is allowed by the Contest Manager only. Parents are not allowed as AMC proctors this year.
We are now planning to offer the AMC contests remotely, but with reduced capacity to accommodate online proctoring.
Another change is that the AMC has reorganized the schedule:
The AMC 10/12 contests are now in November.
And the AMC 8 is now in January.
The AIME I and II contests are in February.

GAIM and Purple Comet Update
The Girls' Adventures in Math (GAIM) and the Purple Comet are online team-based math contests that take place in April each year. We plan to organize and prepare teams to participate in these exciting events.
