Our preparation continues. Each practice set consists of 10 problems (the AMC 8 contest itself has 25 problems) in an online quiz format. Work on the problems, complete the form, then Zoom in on Sunday (11/8) for a one-on-one AMC 8 math session to learn more about any of the problems or AMC 8 related question. Ask about past practice sets, too!
You are welcome to prepare for the AMC 8 with us, even if you are taking the AMC 8 elsewhere.

Can you solve these problems from the 2003 AMC 8?
1. Jamie counted the number of edges of a cube, Jimmy counted the numbers of corners, and Judy counted the number of faces. They then added the three numbers. What was the resulting sum?
4. A group of children riding on bicycles and tricycles rode past Billy Bob's house. Billy Bob counted 7 children and 19 wheels. How many tricycles were there?
12. When a fair six-sided die is tossed on a table top, the bottom face cannot be seen. What is the probability that the product of the numbers on the five faces that can be seen is divisible by 6?

AMC 8 Contest Information
The AMC 8 is 40-minutes long and consists of 25 multiple choice questions in middle school mathematics. Preparing for the AMC 8 helps develop students’ problem-solving skills and interest in mathematics.
Date: Tuesday, November 10, 2020 (The full contest window is November 10–16.)
Time: A specific time can be requested by the student.
Location: via AoPS Online
For: Students in grades 6–8, younger students are welcome.
Price: Free for Bard Math Circle students and local residents. We are charging $20 for other students who register for the AMC 8 with the Bard Math Circle.
