Purple Comet Math Meet Results!
Dear Math Circlers,
We are writing with results of last month's Purple Comet Math Meet. We had 2 high school teams, and 4 middle school teams compete. Overall, 36 students participated, solved challenging problems, and developed their online collaboration skills.
If you'd like more online math adventures soon, consider applying to join the Upstate New York Math Team, information below. The application for our middle school level CAMP (August 3–7) will open soon.

RESULTS

Here's how our teams did:
We had 2 high school teams and 4 middle school teams.
High School Level: IDK, [Redacted]
Middle School Level: A Fraction Ahead, Chupacabras, Pi-Thons, Team Alpha
Middle school team, the Pi-Thons, placed second in NY State among all mixed teams, and all the teams had a whole lot of fun! Congratulations to all the students who took part, and a big thanks to the parent volunteers who helped proctor the contest.
The Purple Comet Math Meet is a team mathematics competition designed for middle and high school students. Teams of from one to six students compete by solving a list of mathematics problems. The problems range in difficulty from fairly easy to extremely challenging.

The Upstate New York Math Team
Sends teams each year to the high school level ARML competition. Although this year's ARML competition has been canceled, the team plans to compete in ARML Local on May 30–31. Click the button below to apply to be on the team! Middle school students are allowed to apply, and will go through the same application process as high school students.
