The AMC 10B and 12B contests are next week, on Wednesday, February 5 at Bard College. We hope you can make it, and bring a friend.

There are many spots available for the AMC 10B.
Our registration table will open by 4:00pm in the RKC Science Building. The contest starts at 4:30pm (as soon as the undergraduate classrooms clear out.) We'll provide celebratory pizza following the contest, and a wonderful math talk by Bard Math Circle co-founder Lauren Rose on the game of SET.
We're sharing our final practice set with you: a mixed collection of problems, from several past AMC contests. We hope these problems have been useful to you as you prepare for the AMC.

AMC 10/12B Contest Information
The AMC 10/12 contests are 75-minutes long and consists of 25 multiple choice questions in high school mathematics excluding Calculus. Preparing for the AMC contests helps develop students’ problem-solving skills and interest in mathematics.
Date: Wednesday, February 5, 2020
Time: The check-in table opens by 4:00pm, the contest starts at 4:30pm, and the whole event ends by 7:00pm.
Location: Reem-Kayden Center for Science and Computation (RKC), Bard College

For: AMC 10B for students in grades up to 10, and AMC 12B for grades up to 12. Younger students are welcome.

Purple Comet! at Bard on Sunday, April 26, 2020.
The Purple Comet! Contest is a team-based competition, with versions for middle school (20 problems in 60 minutes) and high school students (30 problems in 90 minutes). Practice with us on the Sundays leading up to the contest. A detailed announcement will go out soon.
Register your team for Girls' Adventures in Math! Designed for girls in grades 3–8, this contest has always brought an energetic crowd to Bard College. GAIM is a team-based comic book math competition that features great women from history. Get your teams together! Registration is open now and the contest will take place on Saturday, April 25, 2020.
Rebuilding the Upstate NY ARML Team
The American Regions Mathematics League (ARML) is the preeminent team-based high school math competition. Until 2016, Upstate New York's top math students would compete alongside the strongest math students in the nation. Bard College Math Professor Japheth Wood has set the goal of reorganizing the Upstate New York team, and returning to ARML the last weekend in May 2020.
