Rubik's Cubes In the Classroom
In this hands-on workshop, Bard Mathematics Professor Lauren Rose will show you how you can use the Rubik's cube to: (1) Bring to life common core math topics in your classroom (2) Start an after school club (3) Coach a team to compete May 11th at Bard College
Workshop will be held at Arlington CSD Central Administrative Office.

Start an after school club
There are likely students in your school who already know how to solve the cube, so you can advise a club or program without being proficient in the cube yourself, although you may enjoy learning to solve it along with your students. We will learn mathematical notation used in the algorithms, and how to help your students follow a manual to solve the cube step by step.
K-12 Team Competition
Upcoming K-12 Team Competition at Bard College
On May 11th, 1-4pm, Bard College is hosting a Rubik's Cube Team Competition for K-12 students. There are 3 categories, K-5, 6-8, 10-12, and all students on a team must have a coach (usually a parent or teacher) and be from the same school.
