It's Today! #GivingTuesday!
Please join us Today on #GivingTuesday and help us raise $4,000 for the Bard Math Circle. Your donation supports Bard Math Circle activities, including our Contest Program, Girls Math Club and CAMP.
This money will promote mathematical enjoyment in the Mid-Hudson Valley, including the following math circle programs and more:
$2,000 for CAMP: We keep our one-week summer program affordable, and don't want cost to be a barrier for any student. This year, we supported 10 students (out of 48) with need-based financial aid, amounting to $2,085. Help us continue to support students for CAMP 2019.
$1,000 for the Girls Math Club: led by our female math majors, this club is for middle school girls who want to explore math in a relaxed setting using out-of-the-box thinking and to meet other girls who love math.
$1,000 for Math Contests: our competition program encourages a culture of creative mathematical problem-solving, and features the American Math Competition's AMC 8, AMC 10 and AMC 12 exams, and the cooperative, team-based GAIM (Girls' Adventures in Mathematics) and Purple Comet contests. Contests are paired with math talks and other fun activities.
We have already raised $1,340 towards our goal of $4,000.
