Invite a friend to the AMC 8!
Greetings, Math Lovers,
The AMC 8 contest is now less than 2 weeks away, and we do have room for more. Please Invite a friend, and help fill our event! Pass along this registration link for the AMC 8 competition, or send them to our Bard Math Circle homepage, www.bardmathcircle.org. If you are a math teacher, please extend our invitation to your students who would benefit from a greater math challenge.
The full event takes place at Bard College on Tuesday, November 14, from 4:30pm-6:30pm. We'll have the contest, refreshments and an engaging math talk by Bard Math Professor Japheth Wood, who will present some of his favorite mathematical amusements relating to the binary number system. Participation in the AMC 8 with the Bard Math Circle is free, but we are always happy to accept donations (see below for details).
Students who register can prepare for the AMC 8 at our prep sessions led by Bard College undergraduate math majors. The two remaining sessions are (1) Sunday November 5th: Arithmetic and Counting and (2) Saturday November 11th: Logic. All prep session are held 1–4 PM in RKC 111.
