Bard Math Circle offers the Purple Comet! Math Meet
Saturday, April 18th
For the second year, the Bard Math Circle will offer the Purple Comet! Math
Meet as part of its math competition program. This is a team contest for
students in 8th grade and below, and will be administered throughout the
day on Saturday, April 18th.
Additionally, the Bard Math Circle will host 5 prep sessions on Saturdays, 1
pm – 3 pm, starting on March 14th (Pi Day). Teams of 4–6 students will be
formed during the first prep session in preparation for the contest.
The prep sessions will cover the following topics seen on the Purple Comet!
Geometry
Combinatorics
Probability
Logic
Algebra
Number Theory
Arithmetic
